Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left complaining moments into the results show on Saturday evening as Musicals Week came to a dramatic close.
The BBC One Latin and ballroom show returned earlier this week on Friday for its latest instalment, as the six remaining stars took on their musical tracks of choice.
The results show was then moved to the earlier day of Saturday to make way for the BBC coverage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
However, the schedule shake-up left Strictly fans furious at having to reorganise their weekends.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Results? What day is it? Oh it’s the flipping football messing up the schedule.”
A second echoed: “Can we never have Strictly on on Friday and Saturday again, it’s thrown me right off.”
One fellow fan suggested: “Why didn’t Strictly just move to BBC2 for a week. Can’t beat a Saturday evening sitting down to watch the show.
“Plus I’d say having it on a different night affected viewing figures & voting. Not fair on whoever goes this week.”
Another ominously warned of coming shake-ups amid the continuing coverage, as they wrote: “You think the results being on a Saturday is bad it's on a Monday the following week.”
This week saw Kym Marsh and her partner Graziano di Prima made their return for the first time since they were given a bye after contracting Covid.
The results show opened with a dazzling routine from the Strictly professional dancers, as they took to the BBC One ballroom floor to perform an energetic number from Guys and Dolls.
Later in the Saturday evening programme, The Cher Show performed a medley of hits to cap off Musicals Week on the show.
This comes after Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe became the ninth dancing partnership to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing last weekend.
The Ted Lasso actress, 38, and the professional dancer, 35, missed out on a spot on this week's show after facing Fleur East and Vito Coppola in the dance off.
During last Saturday's show, Ellie found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard after receiving a mere five out of ten points from judge Craig Revel Horwood.
The remaining five couples will take to the dancefloor next week for the semi-final, when Strictly Come Dancing will return live on Sunday December 11 at 7.15pm, with the results show on Monday December 12 BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
