Strictly Come Dancing fans have called out the judges for their “inconsistent” scores - especially undermarking Hamza Yassin.
Fan-favourite Hamza performed a sizzling samba to The Lion King’s ‘He Lives in You’ with professional partner, Jowita Przystal and received glowing feedback.
However, despite the judge’s praise viewers were shocked to see the duo only score 36 marks, with none of the judges scoring higher than 9 marks for their performance.
Viewers took to social media to air their concerns about the judges’ scores and suggested “Hamza was criminally undermarked.”
One passionate viewer wrote on Twitter : “I am stunned that Hamza did not get 1 single 10 when they all had amazing things to say? What is the world coming to.”
As a second agreed: “Strictly judges scores aren’t consistent between the dancers and also their comments. Hamza’s dance was the same, if not better than Molly’s but scored less.”
“Why are the judges being so harsh with their marks tonight?” A third asked, “Molly should have got 40 and Hamza at least 39.”
As another pointed out: “Sorry, but Hamza got no negative criticism there, and it was just as good as Molly’s, so how come he didn’t get any 10s…?”
“A slower than usual song for a samba, praised for his technique but still all-9s for Hamza? Why do I feel like they’ve been told to rein it in on him?” a BBC viewer asked.
They even added some concern about his future on the show and said: “They best not be planning his exit.”
Fans are desperate for the quarter-finalist to be put through to the final, as one tweeted: “If Hamza isn’t in the final then I don’t want it! He’s an incredible dancer and smashes it every week.”
Other viewers were just frustrated that Hamza’s scores were so low. One penned: “Hamza was robbed there.”
Others added: “Erm that was amazing… did the judges lose their number 10 paddles?! Undermarked this week Hamza and Jowita!”
