Strictly Come Dancing fans have branded the show a 'fix' after Ellie Simmonds crashed out of the competition.
Paralympian Ellie and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin found themselves in the bottom two alongside Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu. Ellie and Nikita danced their Charleston to Too Darn Hot from Kiss Me Kate once against whilst Molly and Carlos performed their Foxtrot to You Make Me Happy by My Sun and My Stars to keep themselves in the competition.
The judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas - were then asked to give their verdict on who they wanted to save. All four of them opted to keep Molly and Carlos in the competition, meaning Ellie and Nikita had to leave.
Furious fans took to Twitter to fume over the dance-off - and the result.
"Tony still in #Strictly is making a mockery of the whole series...it's a joke. He's bloody awful. 2 brilliant dancers, Ellie and Mollie, in the bottom two and that bumbling buffoon sales straight through. It's all wrong...an absolute FIX. I'm furious," one wrote, as a second added: "I can not believe that Tony has got through again. Such a fix, makes me want to turn it off. #Strictly."
A third shared: "What a fix. Tony Adams going through and Ellie Simmonds in the bottom 2? I’m actually annoyed."
As she reflected on her time on the show, Ellie vowed to continue dancing "forever".
Speaking following their exit, Ellie said: "I've literally had the time of my life. It’s been the most incredible experience - life changing really. I want to thank Nikita ever so much. I’m going to miss him – he’s changed my life and confidence. And all of you guys - the pros. Every single one of you who’ve been part of this Strictly.
"Behind closed doors, the costume designers, I’ve literally loved waking up every single day and dancing, I’m going to dance forever. It’s incredible, this show is life changing. He’s [Nikita] changed my life. We’ve had the most amazing days."
She added: "We’ve had not just dancing days – but days we’ve just spoken for hours. And the confidence you’ve given me – I seem confident but you know what I’m like, I worry about everything so so much and we’ve literally represented everything. We went out there any danced our life out every single night and I loved it so much."
Nikita teared up, as he said: " I’m really happy that this journey has been with you Ellie because she has taught me so so much, so much empathy, just so much, I’ve learnt so much in these seven weeks. I really wanted to go with you to Blackpool."
