Strictly Come Dancing fans were blown away after Helen Skelton's fiery performance “stole the show” in Friday’s quarter final.
The former Blue Peter presenter took to the dance floor with her professional partner, Gorka Márquez and performed a sensational couple’s choice to a song from Cabaret.
The mother-of-three received a roaring standing ovation for her incredibly sexy and powerful performance, that has led fans to label it the ‘revenge’ dance.
Alongside a picture of Princess Diana in her revenge dress, one fan tweeted: “The parallels. Oozing confidence. Completely owning herself. HELEN!”
The presenter announced earlier this year, just several weeks after the birth of her third child, that she had separated with her ex-husband, Richie Myler.
The rugby player is now expecting a baby with Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of Leed’s Rhinos president.
Many fans said the dance was a major “middle finger” to her ex-husband, and a major moment both for the show and Helen’s growing confidence.
A fan said: “I think the nation just watched Helen Skelton say a huge f*** you to her ex-husband!” as another added: “Helen getting the ultimate revenge on her slimy ex… iconic behaviour!”
“Well done Helen Skelton for giving your husband the middle finger with that dance on national telly, you go girl!” a third chimed in.
As a viewer declared: “One of the greatest things about #StrictlyComeDancing is watching a woman find herself again and that was absolutely awesome tonight Helen.”
Other fans commented that the dance would go down in Strictly history, as one of the most memorable moments of the series.
“Will be watching Helen on rewind for the rest of the night!” one viewer said.
“That dance right there was the moment Helen Skelton found herself again, she absolutely f****** smashed it,” a second agreed.
“That dance from Helen and Gorka is one that people are gonna be talking about for years,” another declared, as one other tweeted: “Helen just absolutely stole the show. The very definition of a TV moment.”
