Strictly Come Dancing took fans on an emotional rollercoaster on Saturday night, but many have made the same complaint after Dianne Buswell and Tyler West’s Couple's Choice routine.
The radio presenter and his professional partner performed a Street Dance routine to a garage megamix, securing an impressive score of 37 from the judges.
The iconic pair showcased the first Couple's Choice routine of the series, where contestants can break away from traditional ballroom or Latin dances.
In the past, celebrities have tried their hands at everything from musical theatre to contemporary.
The feature allows dancers to emphasise their strengths and avoid moves they may not be so skilled at.
Following Dianne and Tyler’s performance on Saturday, the Couple's Choice category appears to be unpopular with Strictly fans, with some suggesting it leads to ‘overmarking’.
Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: “I didn’t really like that street dance tbf the judges are gonna overscore it because it’s couples choice but the dance was very stop and start and not much actual dancing.”

Another added: “I wasn't so keen on Tyler's routine. It wasn't worth 10s and it is obvious that the judges and pros know little about that style. Couple's Choice inflates scores.”
“I mean if you don't get at least one 10 for Couple's Choice you've basically failed at life,” quipped another.
Others claim the feature doesn’t fit with the Strictly format and many want it scrapped.
One viewer penned: “I’m not a fan of Couple’s Choice, or the bias it gets with personal VTs. The judges aren’t specialists in it so can’t judge in comparison to ballroom and Latin. Tyler is phenomenal and did brilliantly, unsurprisingly, but it just doesn’t fit!”
Another composed: “Either get rid of Couple’s Choice or have a theme week where everyone does CC all at once, so you can actually mark the dances fairly in comparison with the others. I say this every year, but @bbcstrictly persists in sticking it in among actual ballroom & Latin.”
Some viewers were “conflicted” over the category after Rose and Giovanni's emotional number last year, and Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse’s iconic Rapper’s Delight performance.
Meanwhile, other fans enjoyed Dianne and Tyler’s electric display on Saturday night.
“YES YES YES! Tyler and Dianne literally smashed their couples choice! That was freaking insane! I am blown away honestly,” wrote one viewer.
While another said: “How can you not LOVE Tyler & Dianne, especially that dance. She always smashes the choreography, when doing couples choice.”
In week five, the remaining 12 couples will celebrate 100 years of the BBC with routines inspired by iconic programmes from the channel.
Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu will perform a Couple's Choice to Grange Hill Theme Tune, celebrating BBC children’s programming.
