Strictly Come Dancing fans begged for a change to the format of the final after feeling 'underwhelmed'.
The BBC show aired its final this evening, with the four remaining celebrities fighting it out to take home the Glitterball trophy. Fleur East and her professional partner Vito Coppola, Hamza Yassin and Jowita Prystal, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu and Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez are all keen to take home the top prize tonight.
However, some fans are desperate for a format change after admitting they were "disappointed" with one element.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "I’m underwhelmed by the show dances. The couples are all great, but I am not feeling it in this section of the show. #Strictly," whilst another added: "tbh all the showdances were a bit underwhelming & didn’t really show their best skills."
"On the whole, I’ve been really underwhelmed with the show dances this year??? they’ve seemed really tame. #StrictlyFinal," a third penned, as a fourth wrote: "These are the worse show dances that have ever been !!!!! This is so disappointing #StrictlyFinal #strictly."
A fifth added: "As a couple's choice hater, i also think the showdance should be scrapped. Louis Smith set the bar and it is rarely topped," whilst a sixth shared: "Hate to be that person, but showdances used to have ballroom or latin steps in too... #Strictly."
"Bit disappointed by the show dance choreography and music choices. No real show-stopper. #Strictly," one viewer wrote.
Another shared: " #strictly Much preferred everyone’s ‘couple’s choice’ dances earlier in the series to their showdances tonight. They were far more wow," whilst one viewer suggested: "I think those 4 Showdances were the most underwhelming dances they’ve ever had in a strictly final! Have they ran out of budget? #Strictly."
Tonight, Fleur and Vito danced three routines, with their Show Dance set to the track Find Me by Sigma featuring Birdy. Helen and Gorka's Show Dance was set to Shine by Emeli Sandé. Molly and Carlos' Show Dance was to the track Kiss/1999 by Prince whilst Hamza and Jowita performed their Show Dance routine to Let’s Face The Music And Dance by Irving Berlin.
