Things haven't been smooth sailing for Strictly Come Dancing partners Tony Adams and Katya Jones as the pair are frequently arguing.
Despite escaping the dreaded dance-off and making it through another week in the BBC ballroom dancing competition, Tony, 56, and Katya, 33, were seen arguing before the credits rolled last weekend. The pair have reportedly been having "crisis talks" ahead of the live shows as nerves mount.
Addressing the argument rumours on Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, both of whom have been contestants themselves on Strictly, Tony joked: "We constantly argue, don’t we?"
Katya then joked that: "We just don’t like each other at all, we don’t get on!" Speaking on Wednesday's show, Tony continued: "We’ve had two months together now. She’s been training me and the routines she’s putting on are incredible.
"And sometimes when I miss a step, sometimes she’s a little bit over critical and I just want to have a good time as well. So I think it’s a balance between maybe letting me make a mistake and enjoying myself a little bit at times… I’m not an expert in this field.",
This isn't the first row between the football ace and his professional partner, as Tony previously compared their backstage row to a telling off from his old Arsenal boss. He said: "The last time I've been told off like that was by George Graham and I left the dressing room."
The 56-year-old held "crisis" talks backstage after becoming overwhelmed by fear doing the dress rehearsal.
Tony admits he had a confrontation with his Russian partner, who delivered some "home truths" which gave him motivation to produce his best score to date. "I was full of fear beforehand. We had a team talk," the former Arsenal captain told host Rylan Clark on It Takes Two.
"She [Katya] came into my dressing room after our dress rehearsal and told me a few home truths about me holding back. I think she admits it could have gone either way.
"I could have thrown my toys out of the pram and gone home. But I fought back the fear and just kind of went for it."
Katya replied: "What you said is right, I took a risk. It could have fallen apart or it could have given him that extra fire in his belly. I took a risk because I thought that's what he needs right now. It definitely did pay off."
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday 12th November at 6:55pm on BBC One, with the results show airing on Sunday 13th November at 7:20pm.
