Strictly Come Dancing's Molly Rainford says men are 'scared' of chatting her up

Strictly Come Dancing star, Molly Rainford, has opened up about the reasons why men don't chat her up - chalking it down to the fact she was a child star.

The actress, 21, was a Britain’s Got Talent finalist in 2012, then going on to star in CBBC’s Nova Jones.

She recently said that she never gets any racy direct messages landing in her inbox, blaming her lack of potential suitors on the associations that come with being on children's television shows.

Molly opened up about her absence of romantic offers to the Sun on Sunday, saying: “I haven’t had any racy DMs. I feel like that’s because I’m a CBBC representative. People see that I’m on a kids’ show… So not really had much of that. I think people assume that if you’re on a kids show you are a child.”

Despite being linked to radio DJ Tyler West and Strictly professional dancer, Nikita Kuzmin, during her time on the BBC ballroom show, Molly has insisted that she is single, due to her partner Carlos Gu "banned her from dating".

Molly opened up about her and Carlos's partnership, saying they were both so proud to have got to so far in the competition, especially being "unknown" in the show's line-up.

She told Carlos: ‘I’m really sorry to have put you through so many dance offs in your first experience.’ He won’t be fazed if he has one next year", admitting that she couldn't have had a better partner.

On being in the dance off multiple times, Molly said that the experience made her resilient. She said: “I’m actually glad I haven’t had the smoothest ride, because coming back from those bottom two moments has definitely taught me how to get back up. It’s taught me resilience for sure.”

It was Carlos's first year as a professional dancer on Strictly. He paid tribute to his dance partner and their experience on the show together, saying: “Molly has been incredible, and to get to the final together would be a dream. I’ve said to her: ‘If we do, we’re done. We just have fun and enjoy every second of it.”
