Bristolian comedian Jayde Adams has thanked fans for positive messages following her recent performance on Strictly Come Dancing. The Bedminster native, who is partnered with professional dancer Karen Hauer, appeared on Strictly: It Takes Two this evening (October 13).
Jayde, who dressed in a black leotard for her cha cha performance, danced to What A Feeling from Flashdance on Saturday night. She quickly became the talk among viewers on social media, who called her 'beautiful' and said she looked 'unbelievable '.
Presenter of the BB2 programme Janette Manrara asked Jayde: "You really wanted to send a message with this dance, what has the reaction been like?" The 37-year-old replied immediately: "It has been insane."

After some applause, Jayde continued: "I am so grateful to every single person that's messaged me to tell me that I've made them feel more confident. I'm telling you what, I feel like I've been put on this planet to make women, specifically, feel much better about themselves.
"We get told constantly that we should care more about the way we look more than anything else. I'm just really glad to have been able to do that on Strictly."
It comes after the comedian has been on the receiving end of online bodyshaming trolls in recent weeks. Many of whom have made nasty comments about her weight, with fans growing increasingly concerned for her mental health.
