Strictly Come Dancing fans who were quick off the mark with their bets this series could stand to win a lot of money as the odds on Hamza Yassin winning have shifted drastically in recent weeks.
Wildlife cameraman Hamza was towards the bottom of the pack when it came to odds on Strictly winner this year, with bookies having him at 25/1 when the line-up was first announced. However, after finishing joint top of the leaderboard in week one and then not being far away from it ever since, the odds on him and pro partner Jowita Pryzstal taking home the covered Glitterball trophy this year have tumbled.
In the early days of Strictly 2022, it was ex Hollyoaks actor Will Mellor at the top of the betting but, after his scores failed to match those he got for his incredible week one jive, his odds have lengthened as Hamza's have shortened all the time. Big highlights for Hamza so far include his sensational samba to Sash's Ecuador, which warned him and Jowita a near perfect 39 out of 40 and when the couple topped the leaderboard again last weekend, thanks to their cha cha cha, which got 38 from the judges.

And, as they prepare to dance a Couples Choice routine, which Hamza has said is nothing Strictly 'has ever seen before,' he and Jowita are now on odds of 4/9 with BetVictor , with Helen Skleton now second favourite on 3/1.
Commenting on the latest shift in betting, BetVictor's Sam Boswell said: "As the show creeps toward the final, it looks like Hamza’s glitterball to lose, he heads the winner’s market at a very short price of 4/9. Some lucky punters backed him early in the series sat on prices as big as 25/1!”
