Strictly Come Dancing's Hamza Yasin started career path in Wales wearing pink tutu and shiny tights before finding fame

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Hamza Yassin wowed on the dance floor with his Salsa in the latest round of the dance competition. The wildlife cameraman bagged three 10 point scores with professional dance partner Jowita Przystał.

Now, it has been revealed that he was a student at Bangor University, and once turned up for a field trip to the Menai Straits wearing a pink tu-tu and shiny tights.

Hamza was born in Sudan before moving to the UK as a child. Before appearing on Strictly, the 32-year-old was best known for his role as Ranger Hamza in children's TV channel CBeebies' Let’s Go For A Walk and Ranger Hamza’s EcoQuest.
