Strictly Come Dancing Gorka Marquez issues three-word inspirational message to Helen Skelton

TV presenter Helen Skelton will take to the dance floor tonight in the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final - and she has been sent a message of encouragement from partner Gorka Marquez.

Helen and Gorka have made it to the semi-final stage with four other couples. The Countryfile presenter will dance a Waltz to Celine Dion's Only One Road and for their second dance they will take on an Argentine Tango to Here Comes The Rain Again by Eurhythmics.

Tension is building ahead of the show, which is being broadcast on Sunday night after being moved due to the World Cup quarter-finals. All the semi-finalists will dance twice with the results announced on Monday.

And ahead of taking to the dancefloor Helen posted an image of herself and Gorka on Instagram saying: "SEMI-FINALS DAY. Tonight 7.15pm. #strictly #strictlycomedancing."

The TV star was inundated with good luck messages from fans and other celebrities. And dance partner Gorka responded with a simple message of encouragement. He wrote: "Let's go partner!!!"

Ellie Simmonds, who was voted off in week seven, also wished Helen well. She posted: "Good luck Helen."

Helen and Gorka are currently the bookies' second-favourite to win the show, narrowly behind Hamza and Jowita, who have odds of 8/13 to win. But, according to BetVictor, it is all to play for - as Helen and Gorka could top the charts if they wow with their semi-final performance.

Strictly is on BBC1 at 7.15pm.
