Strictly viewers said Jayde Adams looked 'incredible' even before she took to the dancefloor this evening. The comedian, who was dressed in a black leotard ready for her cha cha performance, was the talk among viewers on social media, who called her 'beautiful' and said she looked 'unbelievable'.
Jayde danced to What A Feeling from Flashdance tonight (October 8), as part of the competition's movie week. One viewer said on Twitter she would be "begging Father Christmas to bring me a matching leotard so I can create a Flashdance tribute band with Jayde & Karen". And that was even before Jayde and her partner had even stepped out onto the dancefloor.
Other fans felt the same, including @sillyolddaniel, who said: "Jayde looks absolutely unbelievable, I can't wait to see her performing, man!!!!!" And @alibelle was so excited, she said: "Jayde gets all my votes for the outfit alone."
And @socialmediajon1 wrote: "Jayde is great and is representing 80% of women who are probably out in Bristol tonight wearing the same outfit she's wearing". It comes after the Express reported the Bristol comedian had to respond to 'fat-shaming' messages on Twitter this week.
Before she danced, Jayde said that this week was to show people that dancing is for everyone, adding: "Dancers come in all shapes and sizes. You don't have to look a certain way to make people happy. It's really lovely to get this body out on camera."
When it came to her dance, Jayde ended in the iconic Flashdance pose - on a chair and covered with confetti, instead of water. She received a score of 29 from the judges - her highest score so far in the competition. Anton Du Beke said her final pose should be on the film's poster and Motsi Mabuse thanked her for sending a message that 'dancing is for everyone' and said she was "very proud".
Viewers took to Twitter once more to share their own pride, with @MarieIndge tweeting: "OMG... Jayde... living all our best lives right there in that dance. I can't stop smiling." @Clive88618730 said: "Jayde's energy and enthusiasm is so infectious and Karen is my fave pro dancer. Hope they go a long way."
And @imshanereaction shared a GIF of the pair's dance, writing: "I've never seen someone look so happy and content to be themselves and it's INFECTIOUS. Couldn't love Jayde Adams or her energy more if I tried."
