Strictly Come Dancing and Coronation Street star Kym Marsh breaks silence on split from husband

Strictly Come Dancing star Kym Marsh has spoken out following her split from her husband of 19 months, Scott Ratcliff. The former Hear'Say singer reportedly split from ex-soldier Scott, 34, recently after they were married in October 2021.

Following reports of their split, Kym had remained silent but she has now spoken out on her personal life in a new interview. The former Coronation Street star previously tied the knot with actor Jack Ryder in 2002 and former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas ten years later, the Mirror reports.

Kym, who appeared in Coronation Street from 2006 until 2019, confirmed the speculation about the end of her marriage is true. She said: "It's just experience." In the interview with The Guardian, Kym made the quip after being discussing how she has learned to be resilient with her personal struggles.

Sources close to Kym claim the pair have split due to work commitments after trying to make things work. "They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most," the insider claims.

"Kym’s been so busy, and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing."

Kym initially found fame with British pop group Hear'Say in 2001 after appearing on ITV reality TV show Popstars. Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan also featured in the band. She has gone on to have a successful acting career.
