Strict enforcement of prohibition law in dry Bihar still a challenge, says JD(U) minister while reacting over latest hooch deaths in Saran

PATNA: Bihar’s building construction minister and senior JD(U) leader Ashok Kumar Choudhary on Friday said the station house officer (SHO) of Saran’s Maker police station, where spurious liquors were being illegally manufactured and sold, would be either involved in the racket or he would have overlooked all the liquor-related happenings.

At least 12 people died, and 15 others fell ill with some of them even losing their eyesight, in the last three days in a hooch tragedy under Maker police station area of Saran district in dry Bihar.
