David Ungi Echo Murder Toxteth

The National Crime Agency have caught and arrested David Ungi Jr in Malaga after being on the run for seven years.

The now 30-year-old was wanted in connection with the murder of Vinny Waddlington. Ungi is the son of a high-profile city figure whose murder appeared to spark a gangland war.

David Ungi Senior was shot dead in the Dingle community he grew up in, a watershed moment in Liverpool’s gangland culture. The 36-year-old was a popular businessman and would have known he was a marked man after a recent failed attempt on his life.
