Street cleaner jailed for life over murders of landlords in Covid lockdown

A council street cleaner who stabbed to death his landlords after becoming paranoid and anxious about Covid during the first national lockdown has been jailed for life.

Daniel Briceno Garcia, 46, attacked 60-year-old Edgar Aguilera Daza in the communal kitchen area of their home in Stockwell, before turning the knife on his horrified wife Sonia Butron Calvi, 66, when she went to phone the police.
