He arrived in rescue as a "very hungry stray" who didn't know what it was to be loved.
And now he is searching for an owner who can show him just that.
Lurcher Arthur is currently staying at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, in Nottinghamshire, but is ready to move in with his new family.
The three-year-old keeps being overlooked because he isn't a 'desirable breed' and has been struggling to catch anybody's attention.
A statement, written in Arthur's voice, reads: "I was a very hungry stray but now I'm thankful for the warm bed, full belly and cuddles from the staff.

"I absolutely love to play with toys, especially teddies - they are my favourite! My friends here say I am the snuggliest boy ever, I cant get enough of it."
He is searching for an owner who spends most of their day at home as he doesn't want to be left too long while still settling in.
Although he can live with another dog, Arthur cannot be placed in a home with existing smaller pets - such as rabbits and guinea pigs.
He can live with children who are in key stage three or above.
The statement adds: "I am looking for a home where I can be someone's best friend.
"I am a gentle boy who doesn't take up as much space as you may think! I am all legs. I can be shy initially, I am a big foody so I don't take long to come round.
"I love to do zoomies in the garden so would really like to have my own space to have fun in. I do have long legs so I will need a 6ft fence to keep me safe."
Jerry Green Dog Rescue has been transforming the lives of abandoned and unwanted dogs for almost 60 years.
Founded by dog lover Jerry Green, the rescue centre opened their first site in North Lincolnshire in in 1961.
Since then, another three sites have opened – one in South Yorkshire, East Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
This enables the dogs to move around each site if they’re unable to secure their forever home at their initial placement.
A spokeswoman said: "All dogs deserve a good life and a safe, loving home. We exist to provide a safe place for homeless dogs and to find new loving places for them to live."
They stand by the motto: "Once a Jerry Green dog, always a Jerry Green dog."
