Stranger Things season 4 part 2 release date and episode lengths

If you thought the episode lengths of Stranger Things season 4 were long, then you better order in some extra popcorn for next month as the Duffer Brothers continue to extend the normal runtimes for a TV series. Every episode of season 4 so far has exceeded an hour, something that would have made the heads of TV executives of the past explode.

However, in the age of streaming and with the backing of one of the giants of the game, Netflix , Stranger Things' creators are starting to break the norms in what we expect from a show such as this.

As most people watch alone or with a friend or partner, it’s possible to pause the episode wherever you like and simply pick up the following evening. So while it might be difficult to fit two 70 minute plus episodes into an evening’s worth of telly, you can always just take breaks whenever you need to and the streaming platform will save your spot.

When is Stranger Things season 4 part 2 released in the UK?

Stranger Things season 4 part 2 is set to be released on Friday, July 1 in the UK, so fans don’t have too long to wait to find out what is going to happen to the Hawkins High crew. However, if the new trailer is anything to go by there will be more peril for Eleven, Mike, Will and the gang – but then again we wouldn’t have it any other way.

With the Duffer Brothers already saying there will be a fifth season of the hit Netflix show to bring an end to Eleven’s story arc, it’s hard to say how many definitive answers the second part of the season will give us.

How long will the episodes in Stranger Things season 4 part 2 be?

One thing we can say for sure is that we won’t be complaining that we’ve been short changed by this latest season of the show when all is said and done. With episode 8 of the latest season set to clock in at 90 minutes – and episode 9 reportedly comprising of two hours twenty minutes of television it will really make this fourth season of the show feel more like a season and a half when all the runtimes are added up.

While we’re certainly not complaining, it will be interesting to see how particularly this last episode of the series holds up as it’s comparable to most movies you’d watch in the cinema and far exceeds the 90 minute standard for theatrical release.
