Strange tales and oddities from Newcastle's past revealed in a new book

A new book, Tyne and Weird II by Rob Kilburn, lifts the lid on some of the stranger and more quirky items of history that have unfolded across our region.

In this new offering, a sequel to the first book which was published at the end of 2020, the author once again takes us into the world of the unusual with a diverse collection of stories and history from Tyne and Wear. Rob also runs the Tyne and Weird Facebook page which focuses on strange history, lore, and urban legends.

The book Tyne and Weird II is published this month by The History Press and is priced at £12.99. Below are some extracts from the book, giving a taste of its enjoyable and offbeat content.
