Manchester United fans have criticised David de Gea after Atletico Madrid hit the front at Old Trafford.
United had been on the front foot for the majority of the first half. Anthony Elanga had a chance saved by Jan Oblak while the home side dominated possession.
However, it was Atletico who went into the break in front thanks to a header from Renan Lodi at the back post, with De Gea only able to watch as the ball hit the back of the net. United fans felt aggrieved that the goal was allowed to stand as there were heavy appeals for a foul on Elanga in the build-up.

Despite conceding in the 41st minute, United still had the chance to go into the break level. Bruno Fernandes' long-range effort was parried away by Oblak as the visitors retained their lead.
