Trump's attorney, Susan Necheles, questioned Daniels about her intentions to publicly announce the alleged affair. Necheles asked Daniels if she wanted to publicly state that she had sex with Trump, to which Daniels responded, 'No. Nobody would ever want to publicly say that. I wanted to publicly defend myself.'
