Connacht will have to overcome a pitch described as being 'on its last legs' if they are to reach the final of the United Rugby Championship.
The startling revelation came just days before Andy Friend's side head to South Africa to take on the Stormers in the URC semi-final on Saturday afternoon.
A tough task on most occasions, but one potentially made even tougher by the state of the pitch in Cape Town.

Earlier this week, Stormers assistant coach Dawie Snyman spoke about the pitch's condition and revealed this pitch is in as bad a shape as he can remember.
"Look, it’s where we’re playing at the moment. Maybe it’s an advantage for us because we understand the surface," he told Sport24.
"We get opportunities to train on the field. It’s not something we really complain about. We just get on with it.
"It’s probably on its last legs.
"There’s not much we can do about it, there will be some rain later this week too so I’m not sure if that’s going to help."
"But the last three to four games have been similar, so I don’t think it will get any worse. This past weekend is probably the worst we’ve seen it."
Connacht will take on Stormers at 3pm tomorrow with a place in the final against Leinster or Munster on the line.
