Storm Eunice is set to move in to replace Storm Dudley on Friday, bringing more strong winds and potentially some snow for parts of the UK.
The stormy weather is expected to cause travel disruption in some areas, with National Highways encouraging drivers to check the latest conditions before setting off on their journeys.
The Met Office said: "Wednesday will be wet and windy at Storm Dudley crosses the UK. Rain will be heavy at times with gales expected, possibly severe over coasts and high ground.
"Chilly with blustery showers on Thursday. Wet, very windy with possible hill snow on Friday as Storm Eunice arrives."
