CHANDIGARH: Punjab advocate general Anmol Ratan Sidhu’s train coach was pelted with stones here on Tuesday evening when he was travelling back from Delhi in the evening Shatabdi Express.
Sidhu was returning to Chandigarh after attending a hearing in gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s case in Supreme Court. He was sitting in Executive Coach E-2 of New Delhi- Kalka Shatabdi Express (12005). When the train crossed Panipat around 6/24 pm, a stone hit the window of the seat where he was sitting.
Sidhu lodged a complaint with RPF officials travelling on the train and an FIR was registered at Panipat RPF police station.
Chandigarh RPF SHO Inspector Amarinderjit Singh said such incidents often happened by delinquents.
