Police in Edinburgh recovered a stolen vehicle on the outskirts of the city on Friday evening.
Road Policing Scotland took to Twitter with a picture of the black Audi Q3 in the Broomhouse area and said that Livingston Road Policing unit came across the unattended vehicle during a routine patrol.
They added that it was displaying false plates and upon a closer look, they discovered it was stolen towards the beginning of the month.

They said: "LivingstonRP recovered this stolen Audi Q3 which was parked and unattended in the Broomhouse area of Edinburgh. The vehicle was displaying false plates but on closer inspection was found to be an Audi stolen towards the beginning of October. Vehicle seized and enquiries on going."
Elsewhere in Edinburgh, on Thursday evening, officers pursued a vehicle that failed to pull over which was later found abandoned on a residential street with the lights still on.
The red SEAT Ibiza was tailed by officers on Slateford Road and later found on Hutchison Park.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Thursday, 6 October, 2022, a car failed to stop for officers on Slateford Road, Edinburgh.
“Officers pursued the car which was later found abandoned on Hutchison Park.
“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.”
