Stocks rattled by fears over tech sell-off and rising oil prices

The FTSE 100 ended lower on Thursday as a tech sell-off and surging oil prices put equities firmly on the back foot.

“Concerns about the sustainability of AI spending hurt… markets and rising oil prices stoked concerns about the threat posed by inflation,” commented AJ Bell investment director Russ Mould.
