WTI crude oil prices erased overnight losses and are up slightly on an unverified report that two missiles hit an American patrol boat after disregarding an Iranian warning to not enter the Strait of Hormuz. However, stocks recovered, and crude prices fell from their best level after Axios reported that a senior US official said that Iranian missiles did not hit a US ship.
