Polaris Stock, An All-Seasons Equity, Revs On Big Profit Gains

Polaris keeps putting up hefty growth numbers. It's an all-seasons company. Its snowmobiles sell well during the fall and winter. And its off-road vehicles appeal to outdoors-oriented consumers especially in the spring and summer. On Thursday, the Relative Strength (RS) Rating for Polaris stock climbed to 75, putting it among the top 25% of all stocks for price performance.

Decades of market research shows that the top-performing stocks, the best stocks to buy and watch, typically have an RS Rating north of 80 as they launch their biggest runs. See if Polaris can continue to rebound and hit that benchmark.

Last quarter Polaris reported a 57% year-over-year surge in earnings per share to $3.46 per share. The prior quarter its EPS grew 64%. The back-to-back strong quarters were a turnaround from the June 2022-ended quarter when Polaris recorded a 7% YoY decline in EPS to $2.42. Sales last quarter rose 21% to $2.4 billion. The Street expects the company to report its latest performance numbers on or around April 25.

Other Ratings Are Stellar

Among its other key ratings the Minneapolis-St. Paul area-based company has a terrific 95 Earnings Per Share Rating out of a possible 99. Polaris stock also boasts a 96 Composite Rating and a B SMR Rating (sales + profit margins + return on equity) rating, on an A to E scale with A tops. Its C+ Accumulation/Distribution Rating shows that mutual funds and other institutional investors are buying more shares than selling.
