Stocks Fall Back as Hawkish Fed Governor Pushes Bond Yields Higher

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) today is down by -0.08%, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) is down by -0.52%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is down by -0.12%.

Stocks today are mildly lower. Hawkish comments today from Fed Governor Bowman pushed T-note yields higher and weighed on stocks when she said core inflation remains "uncomfortably" above the Fed's 2% target, supporting the case for a "measured" approach to lowering interest rates.
