Stock Market Opens in Deep Red as Middle East Conflict Escalates; Nifty Falls Below 24,000

Around 12:15 pm, the Nifty 50 was trading at 23,850.40, down nearly 600 points or 2.4%. The BSE Sensex also plunged 1,916.68 points, or 2.4%, to 77,001.22.

The sudden sell-off wiped out more than ₹12.39 lakh crore from the combined market capitalisation of all BSE-listed companies in less than 10 minutes, bringing the total valuation down to about ₹437 lakh crore, according to ET.
