A brand new series of BBC Scotland show Landward is set to visit Stirling on its travels, as the production heads all over Scotland to discover new and wonderful things.
Landward, BBC Scotland’s countryside magazine series, returns to our screens for its autumn/winter run, looking at a wide range of issues and topics.
In the opening episode of this autumn run, Dougie Vipond is visiting a new entrant couple near the Port of Menteith in Stirlingshire who are running a Deer Farm.

Rosie Morton is taking part in a moth trapping project in the Cairngorms to find out how they indicate changes in the habitat. Anne McAlpine helps bring in the last of the harvest the old fashioned way in Caithness, using an binder and building stooks and a haystack.
Cammy Wilson is heading for the hills of Ayrshire to take part in his first upland sheep gather. And Arlene Stuart is at Loch Leven by Kinross finding out about the increase of toxic algaes due to climate change.
A further highlight of the run will be a special Horse themed episode based at the World Clydesdale Show which is coming to Scotland for the first time ever. The event is being held in Aberdeen.
Later in the series will be a special episode from St Kilda exploring the fascinating wildlife and human history of these remote islands.
