Still Game star will help bring laughter to Lanarkshire this weekend with stand-up show

A night of laughter is always welcome, but especially amidst the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic.

And East Kilbride is serving up that very tonic this weekend.

That's thanks to comedian Bruce Morton, who will bring his brand-new stand-up show to the Village Theatre this Friday (February 4), as part of his Scottish tour.

The Perrier Award nominee and inaugural winner of ' So You Think You’re Funny ?' is no stranger to comedy lovers, having recently finished working on both the live and televised versions of Still Game as undertaker, ID Sheathing.

A master of the anecdote, short gag and the shaggy dog tale, Bruce is a popular headline act at comedy clubs across the country and is a regular showstopper at the Stand Comedy Club.

He has been described by the Scotsman as “devastatingly funny - wry and poignant” and The Times said of him: “He can tell a story as entertainingly as Billy Connolly, but the sting in its tail is in a class of its own.”

The show will start at 8pm and tickets, costing £12, can be bought online or by calling 01355 261 000.
