Still Game duo to launch Jack and Victor whisky and gin in Glasgow

Still Game fans are in for a double treat this weekend when Scotland's favourite old men show off the goods - a new line of whisky.

Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, who played Jack Jarvis and Victor McDade, the Craiglang pensioners in the BBC comedy which is now on Netflix, released their own blended scotch whisky back in May 2021.

Now, they are planning to meet up with fans in Glasgow this Saturday at Buchanan Galleries.

The two Scots comedy icons, who had a run of sell out gigs at Glasgow's Hydro following their show, will be signing bottles of their Jack and Victor whisky and the gin they also created for fans.

The whisky has notes of of honeyed orchard fruits and sweet malted barley with a delicate peat smokiness and notes of fresh vanilla and oak spice.

The two auld yins said before of their brand: "For too many years we’d been drinking that muck they sell in The Clansman, so we decided it’s about time we make our own dram.

"It’s fair to say that after a few trial sessions at Osprey Heights, we’re chuffed with the final outcome."

Ford has said that Jack and Victor 'love a wee sip' of their own creation while Greg reckons Victor would appreciate his own signed bottle.

Ford and Greg will be at the Whisky Shop, Ground Floor, Buchanan Galleries from 10am on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

There will be limited numbers of whisky and gin bottles to purchase, and purchases may be made by over 18s only.
