Stewartry RFC is holding a DIY and community weekend at Greenlaw.
Everyone is invited to go along to help spruce up the clubhouse and grounds on Saturday and Sunday with a special family community fun day planned for Sunday.
This is the chance to give something back to the club through giving up time, spending money or getting involved with the club or events.
And it will also provide people who are are not involved with the club to have a look at what they’re all about.
Players, coaches and families will be painting, cleaning and repairing from 10am on both days – but it’s not all work and no play.
On Sunday there will be inflatable fun for the kids from 10am until 4pm, with a car boot sale, bake sale, raffle, tombola, kit drop and swap and car wash from 10am until 2pm.
There’s no need to book for the car boot, with sellers able to turn up from 9am.
The bar will open from 12noon until 4pm and there will be a barbecue and touch rugby if there’s enough people.
The club is also delighted to announce the return of the Stewartry Rugby 10s on August 13, with Loch Ken Holiday Park the main sponsor and T.P. Niven the additional sponsor.
There are currently nine teams signed up but there’s still availability for both men’s and women’s sides to sign up through the Stewartry RFC Facebook page or by emailing stewartryrugby.events@gmail.com. Games start from 12.30pm, with the final being played at roughly 4.30pm.
There will be a DJ at night and camping is available at the club.
