Stewart Robertson reveals Rangers WON'T have Ibrox beamback for Europa League Final

Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson has revealed there won't be an Ibrox beamback for next week's Europa League final.

UEFA have urged ticketless fans not to travel to Seville for security reasons with both Gers and Eintracht Frankfurt receiving just 10,000 briefs for the 40,000 seater stadium.

But stay-at-home Rangers fans have been dealt a huge blow with the news that the massive match from Spain won't be shown on the giant screens at Ibrox.

That was the case for the UEFA Cup final in 2008 but Ibrox chief Robertson says most of the club staff will be in Seville which won't allow them to operate a beamback.

Asked about the possibility, he said: "It's very unlikely as most of the staff we'd need to run such a beamback are going to be in Seville so I don't think that will happen.

"As much as we understand the desire of fans to be in one place together to watch it, I don't think that's going to be physically possible."

However, Robertson hopes to have some "positive news" in the next few days in regards to fan zones in Seville.

With a huge volume of fans from both sides, huge planning is needed to help supporters watch the all important clash next week.
