Steven Reid says Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper could not have been any more supportive following his decision to depart the City Ground.
Reid announced last week that he had left his position in Cooper's coaching staff to take up a new challenge as a specialist coach. He will offer people help to "improve their mental well-being, confidence and leadership".
The 41-year-old guided Forest to their first win last season, following the sacking of Chris Hughton, before Cooper took over, remaining an influential member of his backroom team. In an interview with The Times, he revealed what makes the Welsh boss "even more special" after the huge support he received from him.
