Steven Knight considered bringing Tom Hardy into the Peaky Blinders movie as a ghost.

The Venom actor had played fan-favourite gang leader Alfie Solomons in the TV show and while his friend and rival Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) appeared to have killed him off in season four, he was revealed to have survived in season five but was pretending to be dead.
