Steven Gerrard welcomes Rangers reminder as Alfredo Morelos leads birthday surprise

Steven Gerrard experienced a gentle reminder of his time with Rangers as he celebrated his son's birthday.

As a birthday treat, Gerrard junior, Lio, was treated to some personalised cup cakes.

And a few well known names featured on the sweet treats.

None other than Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos led the surprise as his shirt was detailed on one of the cake toppers.

Another was topped by the Govan side's infamous blue and white badge - a nice touch to show Rangers still has a place int he Gerrard family's hearts.

The Ibrox forward was alongside Liverpool star Mo Salah and Aston Villa 's Philippe Coutinho - who is currently managed by Steven Gerrard himself.

The baker took to social media to share the tasty looking cakes, describing the booking as a 'bit special' after heading to the Gerrard family home to drop off the surprise.

The Merseyside based cake maker Tweeted: "Yesterday was a bit special. Jurgen signed a new deal & big business moment for me… I delivered my cupcakes to Steven Gerrard’s house for his boy’s birthday, no big deal."

The cupcakes were a part of Steven's son Lio's 5th birthday celebrations.

The five-year-old is one of four kids the ex-Rangers boss shares with wife Alex Curran.
