Steven Gerrard says he could hardly have asked for any more from Rangers during his time in Scotland.
However the former Ibrox boss admits he was slightly frustrated by their approach to the summer transfer market, insisting he wanted to "go for it" and leave Celtic in their wake.
Gerrard led Rangers to a famous 55th league title last season but after only adding to the championship-winning squad with free transfers he voiced his frustrations in a thinly-veiled press conference jab - complaining that the club "hadn't spent a penny."
