Ally McCoist reckons Michael Beale deserves a chance by Wolves branding him as 'one of the best coaches' they could appoint.
The English Premier League side are on the hunt for a new boss with the former Rangers No2 high on the shortlist of candidates, according to various reports, for the vacant post. He was only confirmed as the manager of QPR on June 1 but has impressed in his gig out on his own with his troops sitting fourth in the English Championship standings and just one point off top spot.
He helped Steven Gerrard land Rangers the Premiership title during his time at Ibrox and with that end Celtic's ten-in-a-row bid. He also helped mastermind numerous Europa League qualifying and group stage adventures and has build a huge reputation.

Ibrox hero McCoist is a 'big fan' and says he has done 'exceptionally well' in his short time in management at Loftus Road.
Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, he said: "Michael Beale would be one of the best coaches that Wolves could appoint as their new manager, I’m a big fan of his. Michael has shown that there are a lot of young, exciting coaches who are deserving of these opportunities - he’s done exceptionally well in his short time in management and I would not have a problem in the slightest if he was given a chance in the Premier League."
Things may be on the up for Beale but one man who is struggling at the moment is former Rangers boss Gerrard and his Aston Villa side.
His side sit 16th in the EPL after defeat to Chelsea at the weekend - just one point above the bottom three - with pressure building on the Liverpool and England hero from the fans. The 42-year-old has admitted he won't hide from the noise after his side were booed off.
McCoist reckons all Gerrard needs is a break and a result quickly to get them going. He says England's top flight is 'unforgiving' and the main issue is teams around Villa are doing well and putting points on the board.
He added: "Aston Villa and Steven Gerrard need a break. I look at his team and he’s adopting the same 4-3-3 that he did at Rangers. I think he just needs some kind of result to get them going but he needs it quickly because you can sense frustration in the Aston Villa support and the Premier League is so unforgiving. Steven’s biggest problem is that the teams around them are playing well."
