Steven Gerrard has congratulated Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool boss signed a contract extension with the club that will keep him an Anfield until 2026.
The 54-year-old had initially suggested that he could be leaving the Reds in 2024 but has instead decided to commit his long-term future to the club, penning his new deal on Thursday. It came after Klopp's side edged ever closer to the Champions League final following a 2-0 win over Villarreal on Merseyside.
Liverpool could still win the quadruple this season, having already lifted the Carabao Cup back in February. The Reds sit one point behind Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title and are set to take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 14.
