Steven Gerrard plots transfer drive as ex-Celtic duo set for Al-Ettifaq

Steven Gerrard is reportedly set to complete his first three signings as Al-Ettifaq boss.

And two of his new recruits are former Celtic players.

It's claimed Gerrard is first closing in on a deal to sign Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson in a money-spinning move in Saudi.

However, former Celtic duo Moussa Dembele and Jack Hendry are also on his wish list - and reportedly close to signing.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano states that Scotland international Hendry will sign for Al-Ettifaq this week from Club Brugge.

The journalist claims Hendry will undergo a medical this week before finalising his switch.

And it's thought Henderson and former Celtic favourite Moussa Dembele will already have completed their moves before Hendry is announced.

"Al Ettifaq are set to sign Jack Hendry on permanent deal from Club Brugge.

"He’ll join Steven Gerrard team after medical this week.

"Jordan Henderson deal to be signed this new week.

"Moussa Dembélé set to join as free agent very soon.

"Hendry will be third signing."
