Former Rangers and Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard is now the favourite to take over at Leeds United from Sam Allardyce. The Whites tumbled into the Championship following a 4-1 defeat on the final day of the Premier League season against Tottenham Hotspur, with interim boss Allardyce departing soon after as the process of finding his successor began.
Gerrard's odds tumbled from 16/1 down to 4/1 following the Whites' relegation and the Liverpool legend is now the favourite with Bet365 at 2/1 to get the job, with word coming out this week from sources close to Gerrard that suggested he was confident of landing the role.
Former Leeds assistant manager and Under-23s head coach Carlos Corberan is the second favourite priced just behind Gerrard at 5/2, with Daniel Farke's odds dropping in recent days to put him in at third favourite priced 5/1.
