Pat Nevin reckons Rangers "have got to miss" Steven Gerrard as they gear up for the final Scottish Premiership run-in.
Gio van Bronckhorst could still lift a treble this season with Europa League, Scottish Cup and Premiership title hopes still alive at Ibrox.
However, it would take a massive collapse from Ange Postecoglou's side to see Rangers overtake Celtic in the league.
Going into Sunday's derby showdown, the Parkhead side lead the title race by six points with four games remaining.
While Nevin reckons Rangers can push their Glasgow rivals all the way, he believes the club is still coming to terms with Gerrard's departure for Aston Villa.
Speaking to Lord Ping, Nevin said: “I think Rangers will push right until the end. But Celtic are on fantastic form.
"I'll be going to that game. I've seen quite a lot of Celtic and Rangers games this season and Celtic have been in absolute brilliant form.
“Celtic need to win two from the last four games, with three of the games at home, and one of them is against Rangers of course. That one will be a brilliant win and I'm looking forward to it.
“Celtic may not get the first win at Celtic Park but my god their fans would like to win that one to get one over on their rivals after being knocked out by them In the Scottish Cup.
"And there's nothing like a game between Celtic and Rangers, when there's something like that hanging on it. I have been to many of them since being a kid, they are very special.
“Take nothing away from Rangers, I actually think they're having a good season. Giovanni van Bronckhorst came in at a tough time, because of Steven Gerrard leaving unexpectedly as it were but they've been a good side and boy they've had a brilliant run in the Europa League as well.
"And if they don't win the league, but get to the Europa League Final, it'll still be seen as a great season for them.
“They've got to miss Steven Gerrard being around, and as does the entirety of Scottish football, there was a real kudos about Scottish football having him around but let’s not forget; Giovanni van Bronckhorst has come in and he's got them on the cusp of a European final.
"Now, the Europa League, sometimes English teams didn't take it that seriously, they do now, because it's got a Champions League berth at the end of it, if you win it. It's not an easy competition to get through and Giovanni has managed to take them to the cusp of it now with RB Leipzig waiting in way."
