Steven Gerrard highlights top-flight 'pressure' Leeds United and Jesse Marsch will be familiar with

Jesse March's seat in the Leeds United dugout has become quite hot over the last few months with fans and pundits alike discussing his time at Elland Road so far.

The Whites currently sit in 14th, having taken 17 points from their opening 18 matches, and go into tomorrow's clash against Brentford with just two wins in their last seven matches.

However, Marsch has seen a significant improvement in performances, despite his players have been unable to conjure up results in the league.

It means that although players like Willy Gnonto, who are fan favourites, have been popping up with goals, the American hasn't heard the end of what seems to be a vocal bunch of fans that have been calling for him to be sacked.

Speaking on BT Sport's coverage of Liverpool vs Chelsea, Gerrard admitted that being a Premier League manager takes it out of you, a feeling that Marsch is no doubt familiar with.

"Of course it does [take a toll]. You’re very much all-in. You’re very much living it on a daily basis, 24 hours around the clock. I was speaking to the boys earlier about the tiredness that you feel, you feel like you’ve played yourself.

"When you get a result, whatever way it goes, you’re on to the next game, you’re watching games, you get very little rest and sleep so of course it’s going to take a toll. And of course if results aren’t going your way, you’re going to feel that [pressure from the fans] even more."
