Steven Gerrard fans swarmed a Costa Coffee shop and started banging on the windows as he enjoyed a coffee inside.

The Liverpool FC legend went to Costa Coffee in the Central Square Shopping Centre on Westway, in Maghull, on Thursday, June 24. After being spotted by somebody else in the store, they immediately took to Facebook to share his whereabouts.

It wasn't long before more and more people started showing up and, according to eyewitnesses, the Aston Villa manager took pictures with a number of fans and even signed a Liverpool shirt. A spokesperson from Costa said it caused "a bit of buzz".
