Draymond Green has yet to return from suspension for the Golden State Warriors. The veteran forward is still working his way back to full fitness following a lengthy spell out of the rotation. However, since his suspension has been lifted, Green has been present on the Warriors bench, providing veteran leadership however he can.
Speaking to the media following the Warrior’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday (Jan. 13), Steve Kerr discussed the impact Green’s presence on the bench has been making. He also shared how the veteran forward has been a “huge help” by talking to his teammates and sharing his experiences.
“Yeah, Draymond has been a huge help on the bench,” Kerr said. “He talks to guys during timeouts during the game. He’s got a great sense of the game and personnel. He was talking to JK about how to guard certain guys and which direction to send. So, Draymond is a huge help, and I look forward to getting him back on the floor.”
Green will likely return to the rotation in the coming weeks and provide a significant boost to a defense that has been struggling throughout the first half of the season.

Whether Green’s return is enough to turn the Warriors’ season around or they continue to consider entering the trade market will remain to be seen. The only thing for certain is that his presence has been missed on both sides of the court.
