Steve Cook says he has had an "almost perfect" weekend after he was carried off the pitch during Nottingham Forest's 4-0 win over Reading.
Cook's departure during the game was one of two possible injury blows for boss Steve Cooper after full-back Max Lowe had to be taken off before half-time after a suspected groin injury.
Keinan Davis gave the Reds a perfect start when he scored inside the first 60 seconds against Reading. The hosts then had to wait until the 62nd-minute before goals came more freely for Forest with Davis adding a second before Ryan Yates (75) and Sam Surridge (80) also found the net.
Taking to Twitter after the game, Cook shared a message saying: "Almost a perfect weekend. Huge win and clean sheet. My little boys first game for Forest as well. Just got to see about the injury now."
The post came with two images attached - one of him looking to volley the ball and another with his two children beaming in Forest kits, and was accompanied by two "crossed fingers" emojis.
Forest boss Cooper told NottinghamshireLive at full-time that the Reds have their "fingers crossed" that Cook and Lowe's injuries will not be too serious.
“It’s come at a bit of a cost, with the two injuries. We’ll see how they are,” said Cooper.
“With Cookie, we think it might be his ankle. It’s too early to say exactly how bad it is, so I don’t want to say anything too much.
“We’ve all got our fingers crossed for him and Max.”
