The Fall of the House of Usher Series Poster

Beloved actor Steve Buscemi, known for his roles in Boardwalk Empire and various iconic films, recently fell victim to a random attack on the streets of New York City. The incident occurred in Kips Bay, where Buscemi was struck in the face in broad daylight, resulting in swelling to his face and left eye. He was promptly taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

The assailant fled the scene and remains at large, as per police sources. Buscemi's publicist confirmed the assault, emphasizing that he is okay and appreciates the outpouring of well wishes.

This unfortunate event adds Buscemi to the list of celebrities who have been targeted in unprovoked attacks in the city, including Rick Moranis and Michael Stuhlbarg.

Despite this setback, Buscemi has several projects in the works. He is set to voice the main antagonist in the upcoming animated film, Transformers One, scheduled for release in September 2024. Additionally, he reprises his role as Randall Boggs in the second season of Monsters at Work, now streaming on Disney+.

Buscemi will also lead in the film, The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write About a Serial Killer, directed by Tolga Karaçelik. The movie follows a retired serial killer who advises an author on murder writing.

Furthermore, Buscemi is joining the cast of Wednesday for its second season, playing the role of Barry Dort, the new principal of Nevermore Academy. The show has entered production, with a recent trailer showcasing the star-studded ensemble cast alongside Jenna Ortega on Netflix.
